Edoxaban

Mechanism of action

Anticoagulant (factor Xa inhibitor).

Inhibits activation of platelets and formation of fibrin clot by direct and reversible inhibition of factor Xa.

Contraindicated if CrCl < 15 ml/min.

Consider reducing the dose if co-administered with fungostatics, ATB (clarithromycin, erythromycin) or dronedarone.
